I came in and had a severe yeast problem. I had infections ever since I was little, I was always getting sick, I had been on antibiotics for years and I had severe yeast symptoms such as allergies, migraines and moderate acne. I have been battling with weight loss and a consistent healthy diet for most of my adult life. Since birth I have had severe asthma and have been on a gamete of asthma and allergy medications. When I first came into Nutrition Treatment Center, I was currently taking 6 medications including an inhaled steroid, and yet still suffered from extreme allergies and asthmatic episodes. My immune system was so weak from all of the medication and I was always sick. This greatly affected my life; wherever I went I had to make sure I brought my meds and if I went to sleep for even one night without taking the steroids, my lungs would be weak for the entire week to follow which meant no exercise resulting in weight gain and depression. After studying my case, Tom prescribed a wheat and dairy free program, along with supplementation to support my other contributing imbalances. He told me it would be a long process, but I had been on meds for 22 years so I was prepared to see slow changes. In less than one year (and for the first time in my entire life) I am medication free and through my new and improved lifestyle, I was able to drop ten pounds and get to my ideal weight.
